The Bangor Trail is a fascinating and wonderful old trail, full of history, dating from a time when the vast swathes of North-West Mayo were not yet reached by road. i would be interested in making a weekend of it and doing the walks on june 11 and june 12. what would be the most convenient town to stay in thank you WILL H
Hi Will,
Thanks for your comment. The village of Newport would be handy, with Hotel Newport and a number of B&Bs. Alternatively, the larger town of Castlebar would be fine also, with the Harlequin Hotel, among others, plus plenty of B&Bs.
You would be most welcome on the walks. Barry.
